Anlässlich des 20-jährigen Jubiläums der Xbox hat Microsoft angekündigt, dass über 70 Spiele via Abwärtskompatibilität für die Xbox hinzukommen.
Zu den neuesten Spielen, die für die Abwärtskompatibilität der Xbox zur Verfügung stehen, gehören viele Fan-Favoriten der Xbox 360 und der ursprünglichen Xbox, wie die Max Payne-Reihe und das F.E.A.R.-Franchise.
Microsoft kündigte außerdem an, dass Spieler ab heute die gesamte Skate-Franchise dank Skate 2 sowie Dead or Alive Ultimate, Star Wars: Jedi Knight II, Star Wars: Starfighter und Otogi über die Abwärtskompatibilität genießen können.
Während der feierlichen Präsentation kündigte Microsoft an, dass "alle Original-Xbox-Spiele auf allen modernen Konsolen besser aussehen werden als je zuvor", dank schnellerer Ladezeiten und Auto HDR, das für alle diese Titel verfügbar ist, solange der Fernseher dies auch Unterstützt.
